Challenge:

CFAO Automotive, France based company, a leading player in Africa's automotive distribution, required a sophisticated ERP system to manage its highly complex intercontinental shipping of vehicles and spare parts. The challenge lay in integrating the entire supply chain, from purchasing and transportation to inventory management and sales, with a need for advanced allocation logic.

Solution:

Proxima Systems, acting as a sub-contractor to our partner Prodware (Prodware Chzech and Prodware France), did large contribution in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (F&O) for CFAO Automotive. This project involved developing a tailored data model to address the intricacies of their global supply chain.

Key Project Scope & Outcomes:

The implementation delivered a comprehensive and integrated solution covering the full spectrum of CFAO Automotive's supply chain:

  • Complex     Intercontinental Shipping Management: Development of a specialized     data model designed to efficiently plan and manage the intricate logistics     of shipping vehicles and spare parts across continents.
  • End-to-End     Supply Chain Integration: Full coverage of critical supply chain     functionalities, including:
       
    • Purchasing:      Streamlining the acquisition of vehicles and parts from international      manufacturers.

    • Transportation      and Landed Costs: Accurate tracking and management of all costs      associated with international shipping and logistics.
      •  
    • Inventory      Management: Optimized control and visibility over a vast inventory of      vehicles and spare parts across various locations.
      •  
    • Sales      with Automated Allocation Engine: Implementation of a robust sales      module coupled with a complex automated allocation engine, ensuring      efficient and intelligent distribution of products based on specific      business rules.

Results: The Dynamics 365 F&O implementation provided CFAO Automotive with a powerful, integrated platform to manage its demanding intercontinental supply chain. By centralizing procurement , logistics, inventory, and sales, the solution enhanced operational efficiency, improved cost visibility, and enabled precise allocation of vehicles and spare-parts, supporting CFAO Automotive's extensive distribution network across Africa and French overseas territories.
