Challenge:

As the primary electricity provider in Tbilisi, serving hundreds of thousands of household and legal entity customers, Telmico required a robust and efficient billing solution capable of accurately calculating and generating bills from metering data received via APIs.

Solution:

In 2024, Proxima Systems developed and implemented a billing system for Telmico, built on the flexible platform. This solution was specifically designed to handle the high volume and complexity of a major electricity retailer's billing needs.

Key Project Scope & Outcomes:

The project focused on delivering a comprehensive billing system:

  • Automated  Metering Data Ingestion: The core functionality involves seamlessly receiving metering information via APIs directly from Telasi (the  electricity distribution company).
  • Automated  Bill Calculation: The module is responsible for accurately calculating consumption and charges for hundreds of thousands of customers, encompassing both households and legal entities.
  • Bill  Generation: Efficient generation of bills in various formats, ready for distribution to Telmico's extensive customer base.
  • Scalable  Jmix Platform: Utilizing the Jmix platform ensures the solution is robust, scalable, and adaptable to future business requirements and     customer growth.

Results: The implementation of the billing system has provided Telmico with a modern, automated, and highly efficient system for managing its extensive customer billing operations. This critical solution ensures accurate and timely bill generation, streamlining a key aspect of Telmico's service delivery to its several hundred thousand customers in Tbilisi.
